FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is BeanBrief trading advice?

No. BeanBrief reports what official sources published and how it compares with the prior release. It never tells you what to do in any market. Every brief carries a disclaimer and links to the original source.

Why only soybeans?

Focus. One market means every release, table and email is relevant — and we can go deeper than a multi-commodity newsletter: U.S. and Brazil, beans, meal and oil.

How is AI used?

AI drafts the text of each brief from numbers our software extracts from the official file. Automated checks then reject any draft containing advice-style language or any number that does not appear in the source data. AI use is disclosed on every brief.

How do I subscribe?

Start with the free plan — no card needed. Pro and Desk are monthly subscriptions in USD, billed by our merchant-of-record payment partner, and you can cancel anytime.

Who is BeanBrief for?

Professionals outside the U.S. who follow soybeans: futures traders and brokers, analysts and research desks, and procurement, crush and feed teams — in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Which sources do you use?

Official, scheduled releases: USDA (WASDE, NASS Crop Production, Crop Progress and Grain Crushings, FAS Export Sales), CFTC Commitments of Traders, NOPA monthly crush and Brazil's CONAB grain survey. See About & sources.

How fast are briefs published?

Our target for scheduled USDA releases is a brief within about 30 minutes of publication, after automated checks pass. If a check fails, the brief waits rather than going out wrong.

Which time zone are times shown in?

Your browser's time zone by default, with a one-click switch to the agency's official time (U.S. Eastern or Brasília).

Where do the release dates come from?

From each agency's own published 2026 release calendar (checked 19 Oct 2026), including holiday shifts. Agencies occasionally change dates or times, so every event links to the official schedule — check the agency if in doubt.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans are billed monthly; cancel anytime with the manage-subscription link in your Creem receipt, or email [email protected] and we will cancel it for you. You keep access until the end of the period.

Do you redistribute NOPA or other licensed data?

Only to the extent our licence allows. NOPA's crush report is licensed data distributed by LSEG; USDA, CFTC and CONAB releases are public.
